Chris Mann became a police officer at just 21 years old. As a police officer, Mann held domestic abusers, drunk drivers, and other violent offenders accountable. Unfortunately, his career was cut short by a drunk driver who struck him at 50 miles an hour while Mann was outside his patrol car on a routine traffic stop. While the injuries he sustained ended his career in uniform, Mann knew he wanted to keep serving the people of Kansas. He returned to law school, becoming a criminal prosecutor in Wyandotte County.

As a criminal prosecutor, Mann secured prison sentences against drug traffickers and murderers, including a man who committed an execution-style murder in Wyandotte County. Mann then prosecuted white-collar criminals and scam artists as a securities prosecutor with the Office of the Kansas Securities Commissioner. He secured a decade-long prison sentence against a scam artist who stole the life savings of an elderly widow in Sedgwick County.

“Chris Mann has spent his career holding bad actors accountable and keeping Kansans safe,” said Leah Rymer, spokesperson for the Chris Mann campaign. “As Attorney General, Chris will fight to protect Kansans from anyone who preys on them. He won’t let violent predators or greedy corporations off the hook.”
